A six-team football tournament organised by the Kanifing East Youths Development Society is currently underway at Kanifing Estate.
The competition, which commenced on Friday, is staged in the memory of late colleagues who died in the 2006 in a fire disaster that occurred at the estate.
In the opening match on Friday, Youndou Bi beat Market Bi 1-0.
On Saturday, August Town FC thrashed Mad Money FC 3-1 with Pa Modou Ngum bagging a hat-trick for the August Town side.
Francis Colley-Faye, the sponsored of the tournament, said thanked the teams for their participation. He described the departed colleagues as true pals who will always be remembered.
