Richards Disenchanted

Tuesday, September 18, 2007

Principal magistrate Moses Richards of Kanifing Magistrates’ Court has once again expressed disenchantment over the way and manner our roads are being used by taxi drivers.

He added that it’s lamentably regrettable that people continue to lose their loved ones thanks to the carefree attitude of some drivers plying our roads. He, therefore, vowed that no offenders of the traffic regulations would go unpunished if they find themselves in his courtroom.

Magistrate Richards made these remarks before convicting and sentencing one Yunusa Jallow on his crimes of causing a road accident thereby injuring one Fatou Bayo.

The accident occurred at a time when Yunusa was driving a motor vehicle without a driving license and in a reckless manner.
