The proprietor of the Gambia’s leading catering outfit would be no longer interested in a protracted legal tussle if the damage done to his properties are commensurately compensated.

Mr. Kebba Bojang, whose dining spot has now carved an enviable position for itself as a perfect place to be for unforgettable gastronomic experience, is now hoping for restorative justice in a case he instituted against two youths for vandalizing his properties.

Alhaji Bah and Kebba Ceesay were on Monday arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court on charges of causing damage to property, wandering and acting in a violent behaviour in a public place likely to cause a breach of the peace.

Adducing the facts of the matter, the prosecution officer, Sgt. Jahateh, recounted that the two youths had gone on an escapade at the 4 Seasons Fried Chicken Restaurant and, as a result damaged some chairs therein.

Meanwhile, the two had pleaded guilty to causing willful damage to property and not guilty to charges of idling and acting in a disorderly manner.

To enable them enjoy freedom in the meantime, magistrate Moses Richards granted each of them court bail in the sum of D10,000 with two Gambians as sureties but the sureties must meet all the bail conditions.
