An alleged cattle rustler, Gibba Bah of Kafuta Village, who was standing trial for a 199 cattle head theft at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court since 2005 has been discharged by Magistrate Johnny Njie.

In his ruling, Magistrate Johnny Njie said he has been in Brikama Magistrates’ Court for the past seven months but there is no progress in the trial and, on these grounds, he discharged the accused. The court also ordered that the cattle be given back to the accused.
