Gunjur Development Fund (GDF), a UK-based charity formed by Gunjurians in the United Kingdom, last Sunday gave a consignment of medicament, 50 clocks, consumables among other items to Gunjur Health Centre.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, a native of Gunjur, Mr. Salifu Jassey, hailed the intervention of GDF as both timely and invaluable in that it would go ‘a great length’ in lessening some of the constraints the health center’s facing.
He called on the health centre management to put the items to good use.
In his remarks of appreciation on behalf of the chief nursing officer, Mr. Ebrima Jobe commended GDF for the gesture, saying it would help ‘greatly’ in ameliorating some of the problems that the health centre is faced with. The gesture, he said, would also go a long way in complementing Government’s efforts in health care service delivery.
Amadou Bojang, a youth of Gunjur, also spoke on the occasion, expressing appreciation and noting the timeliness of the donation.
