Armed robbers attack Kaur

Armed robbers recently stormed Kaur Wharftown in the Lower Saloum Constituency, CRR North. A shop belonging to one Muhammed Hydara, a Mauritanian national was heavily looted by the armed men.

Muhammed Hydara’s years saving was taken away. The two watchmen of Mr Hydara were tied up and their lips sealed on Nawec street poles by the armed men.

Alh Ganyie Touray, Governor of CRR and  Modou Jobarteh, Police Commissioner CRR, visited the scene on Sunday, February 10. Governor Touray expressed empathy to Mr Hydara. He also assured him that the matter will be investigated thoroughly. 

He called on the community to cooperate with the security personnel in their investigation.

He stressed the need for the concept of community policing at all times.

On the movement of aliens, Governor Touray urged the Chiefs and Alkalus not to compromise national security.
