Senior Magistrate EF M’Bai of the Brikama Magistrates Court, on Monday, adjourned the manslaughter involving two siblings who shared the same. Jawo Jallow junior is being tried the death of Jawo Jallow senior on January 11 at Dimbaya Village, Kombo Central.
Jawo Jallow junior is facing a charge of manslaughter, contrary to the Criminal Procedure Code, Laws of The Gambia.
During the last sitting, Jawo, who pleaded not guilty, informed the court that he has no witness and no defence counsel in the case, adding that God is his only shelter.
When the case resumed on Mondays, senior magistrate M’Bai has ordered the court to write and submit an application to the High Court for the accused to be provided with a legal representation, before adjourning the case to April 1 for continuation.
Police prosecutor, Sub-Inspector Saine represented the IGP in the trial.
