Two men were formally charged at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court yesterday on suspicion of conspiracy and stealing.
Kemo Sarjo and Ebrima Bah on Tuesday appeared before magistrate John Njie for allegedly conspiring to commit a felony.
The duo, according to the particulars of offence, had, in September of 2007, received two heads of cattle in Marakisa village in the southern Senegalese province of Casamance, knowing fully well or having reason to believe that they were stolen. The cattle, valued at D16, 000, were the property of one Abdoulie Kujabi.
They denied the charge and the case continues.
