The recently concluded 21st week of friendship and fraternity, otherwise known as SAFRA, has been hailed by all as a great success.
In his final keynote address SOS for Youths and Sports Hon Mass AX. Gai, urged all SAFRA participants to endevour to share experiences and the lesson they have learned with their collegues. He stressed the need to tackle illegal migration and said this could be achieved through vigorous and continuous sensitisation.
Hon Gai told those gathered at the closing ceremony that there are no losers with SAFRA everybody is a winner. He cited friendship, peace and the promotion of regional integration as the main principles behind the gathering.
“All of you have raised the flag of you respective countries to new heights with dignity, respect, self belief and above all mutual understanding,” he told the crowd.
He continued saying it is incumbent on all Governments, NGO’s, civil society and the private sector to have the courage to urge young people to stay and contribute meaningfully society and socio-economic development. The Occasion was chaired by Mawdo Amadou Jallow the regional Youth Coordinator in Upper River Region (URR).
