Imam Alhagi Tafsir Gaye gives to muslims

Imam Alhagi Tafsir Gaye, on Monday , September 23rd, 2008, distributed bags of sugar and rice on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan to talibes of Arabic schools - Darra Alfa of King Fahd and Darra Saho of 46 Lancaster Street. Elders of the Independence Drive Mosque, New Muslim Society, as well as Muslims in the neighborhood benefited from Imam Alhagi Tafsir Gaye’s annual Ramadan gift.
 
According to Imam Gaye, during Ramadan, he goes around to the wealthy people asking them to help the poor and needy during this blessed month. Imam Gaye, according to him, in turn distributes what he gets from well-to-do people to the needy.

Imam Gaye added that this year’s gifts included what he received from the Gambian leader, President Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh through the Supreme Islamic Council and consulars, George Madi and family, Salman and brothers, the Lebanese consulate, Hassib Massry, Islamic Call Society, Alhagi Serigne Momodou Bawo, Alhagi Camara of Banjul and Muslim Hands.

Imam Alhagi Tafsir Gaye thanked President Jammeh, who also distributes food to mosques - especially on the eve of Lailatul Qadr.

“We are praying for all those who help the needy, especially during this month.  Allah will reward them.  The best among you is the one who helps the poor and needy.
May Allah bring peace and tranquility to our country and prosperity,” he prayed.
