Mandinaba Lower Basic Visits National Museum

A contingent of students from Mandinaba Lower Basic School last Wednesday visited the national museum in Banjul to familiarise themselves with some of the instruments that the museum has on offer.

In an interview with this reporter, the Head Teacher of the School, Mr. Balu Darboe, explained that the chief reason for the visit was to enable the pupils to see for themselves some the things they’ve learnt in Social and Environmental Studies. This, he noted, would enable them acquire first hand information about some of the things they’ve learnt in the classroom.

Mr. Darboe asserted that this would go in no small measure in helping the students in their march for academic excellence.

According to him, this visit was not the only time the pupils of his school visited the museum.

“As a tradition, all our final year students had to visit the museum as part of better preparing them for their final year exams for seeing, they say, is believing,” he posited.
