As part of celebrations marking the auspicious occasion of the feast of Eid ul Adha locally known as Tobaski, Muslim Hands The Gambia, on Friday, donated two bulls to patients at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital and HIV/Aids patients who are currently undergoing President Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh’s treatment at the Serrekunda Hospital.
Both bulls were received on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Welfare and the Gambain leader by Dr Tamsir Mbowe, Director of Health Services, who also doubles as the Director General of President Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh’s treatment programme.
Reacting to the gifts presented to him, Dr Tamsir Mbowe lauded Muslim Hands for their Samaritanism.
“It has become an annual event that Muslim Hands gives to RVTH patients every Tobaski. This will make the beneficiaries to have the feeling that they are part of the society and that society cares for them as well. I call on other organisations to emulate Muslim Hands for going all out to help the sick at all times,” he encouraged.
