Tesito FC Expelled From Banjul Nawettan

Monday, October 8, 2007

As part of its drive to crackdown on violence in the nawettan championship, the Banjul Sports Committee recently expelled Tesito FC from the nawettan championship.

Here is the release from Banjul Sports Committee;

“I am directed by the Organising Committee after scrutinizing the referee’s report to charge your Technical and Management team of bringing the game into disrepute after your  match against Miami on Sunday, 30th September 07. Your actions and behavior was unruly and out of order. One of your suspended officials “Mbackeh” decided to take the law into his own hands by punching the match officials, whilst Saidou Colley a member of the technical team who was sent off from the bench for using abusive language, decided to attacked him.

 As such, the committee has decided on the following:

The entire Management and Technical team of Tesito are banned from all the activities of the BSC;

Tesito as a football club name is expelled from the nawettan;

The players can play under a different name and management if they so desire to keep their place in the Banjul football family.

As a Management and Technical team you are expected to comport and lead the club with discipline and respect.

Meanwhile there will be a Koriteh break from Tuesday, 9th to Monday, 15th Oct. Matches will resume on Tuesday, 16th as stipulated by fixture.”
