Briton Given D2m Court Bail

A Briton, Steven Scott, was this week given bail in the sum of D2m for causing a road accident that claimed two lives.

As part of the bail requirements, Steven must have two Gambians as sureties and one of them must be an owner of a compound in the Greater Banjul Area.

According to the details of the matter, Steven sometime in September of this year caused a road accident along the busy Senegambia highway thereby killing one Anta Keita and Awa Fatty.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge when the charge sheet was read to him and is expected back in court on Monday for the continuation of the case.
