Willy Joof Fired, Lands in Police Net

Mr. Willy Joof, Permanent Secretary No. 1 at the Department of State for Foreign Affairs, has been removed from office with immediate effect, reliable sources informed this paper. Mr. Joof was also invited for questioning at the police Headquarters in Banjul yesterday afternoon.

Mr. Joof’s invitation for questioning follows that of Bala Garba Jahumpa, Batata Juwara, Bai Ousman Secka and Tijan Bah, all former officials of the Department of State for Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Joof, according to our source, is being questioned in connection with administrative matters, following a petition against him.
