Bakoteh Woman to Return to Court

The Bakoteh woman, who allegedly entered the compound of one Kaddy Kalleh and tethered her legs with a rope therein, will mid next week return to a magistrates’ court for the beginning of her trial.

Fatou Jeng lately appeared before magistrate B.O. Jobe at Bundung Magistrates’ Court on charges of criminal trespass and assault.

She stands accused of entering the compound of Kaddy Kalleh as well as insulting and intimidating her before tying her legs with a rope.

The incident reportedly occurred in August of this year but when the charge sheet was read and translated to Fatou, she pleaded not guilty to the charges. To enable her gain liberty as her case enters full trial, she was granted bail in the sum of D2000 with a Gambian as surety.
