A four-team football tournament to be organised by Flamins and Dagudan FC (veteran clubs) will start in Bakau on Friday, October 17, at the Cocktail football ground in Bakau. The competition which will be a two-day affair will feature only youth players who neither player at the league level or nawettan level.
Pa Suwareh, a member of the organisers told Observer Sports that the fitness tournament is being organised in the honour of Mr Tom King who has played a significant role in the development of Gambian football.
The four teams that will participate in the competition, according to Pa Faye, are Fajara, Bakau, New Town and Sanchaba.
New Town will take on Sanchaba, while Fajara face Bakau all on Friday, with the final scheduled for Sunday, October 19.
