Real Host Casa Sport in International Friendly

Real De Banjul the 2007 national league champions and the country flag bearer in the next African league championship, will host Casa Sports of Cassamance, Senegal, in an international friendly match on Saturday 21st July 2007 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The match is part of Real De Banjul’s preparations for the up coming African Champions League slated later this year.

A letter sent to The Point Newspaper yesterday, stated that the match will start at 4:30 pm and tickets are D10.00 for covered and D200.00 for VIP. It further went on to reveal that anyone who wants to donate to the team might do so at the VIP gate of the Independence Stadium on the day of the match.
It could be noted that Real De Banjul last represented the Gambia in the African League Championship in 2000.

They eliminated FC Midelow of Cape Verde in the preliminaries after a goalless draw in Banjul and managed to beat the Cape Verdian side 1-0 in Midelow with Joseph Jabang netted the only goal.

Compagnie Sucriere Senegalaise of Richard Toll, Senegal eliminated real De Banjul, in the first round.
