Back and Next - Back and NextWorld Handball Day to be Commemorated

The Gambia Handball Association will join the rest of the World in commemorating World Handball Day on Saturday 23 June 2007.
Speaking to Pointsport, the President of the Gambia Handball Association, Mr. Modou Lamin Dumbuya, said that GHA was formed in 1986 with the objective of promoting, improving and developing Handball in the country.
He added that as part of activities marking the day, Scorpions would take on Warriors in a friendly encounter at the handball court of the Independence Stadium.
He called on all Gambians to come in their numbers and support Handball.
He added that the ceremony is expected to be graced by the Secretary of State for Youths Sports and Religious Affairs, Sheikh Omar Faye.
