The Network of Adolescent Youth on Population and Development (NAYPOD), on Saturday wrapped up its 2 day-sensitisation on capacity-building, at the President Award International Hall.
The aim of the seminar was meant to enhance the capacity of its members, through the provision of information and strengthening of links.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr Mustapha Kebbeh, Chairperson of the occasion, said the programme will cover presentations on CPD and National Population Management.
For his part, the Deputy Permanent Secretary, at the department of state for youth and Sports, Mambayick Njie, who deputised for the Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, extended his appreciation to be associated with the programme and assured them of his offic’s steadfastness in responding to youth programmes and activities. He then encouraged more participation of youths in the mechanic farming sector.
Mr Njie implored the support of various districts and regional committees in order to foster partnership and decentralisation of programmes and activities.
Mr Pa Malick Ceesay, Executive Secretary at the National Youth Council, finally urged the participants of the various regions to take the training seriously so as to achieve the set goals and objectives of the (NAYPOD).
