Youth Ambassadors of peace (
The ceremony was held at Joint officers mess conference hall Kotu.
In his keynote address on behalf of the speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Abdoulie Bonjang Deputy speaker revealed that YAP is a youth organisation in the Gambia striving to empower youths and communities adding that in 2007 with it’s affiliation in Senegal and Guinean Bissau. Honorable Bojang stated that the objectives of YAP is to cultivate the spirit for love for humanity in the mind of young people, promote justice, equality co-peace existence among people and to promote tolerance and develop leadership potential of young people to ensure their maximum participation nation building.
Hon. Bojang further hinted that the state of disorder and confuse in many part of the world especially in our sub-region is shaping the children innocent minds therefore need to rear peace in their heart and to develop and peace related disciplines such as values and moral education.
He urged the graduants to translate what they have learn inorder to disseminate the idea of peace.
For his par, president of YAP Mr Buba Darboe noted that YAP are young people's organisation with a task of inculcating into the minds of young people the culture of peace and social tolerance stressing that the move was formed by global instability and youths are always used either to fuel the situation or caused lead caustic factors in the world most trouble zone.

Mr Darboe however noted that, youth ambassadors for peace is in preparation of lunching a product call the Ambassadors youth cooperative credit union (TAYCCUN) for it members and also open to youths who are interested to become members.
These initiatives he said will help young people to build up their economic status and become vibrant players in the field of business industry which is dominant by foreigners.
Other speakers include Fabakary Kalleh executive Secretary, Lamin Sanyang chairperson fundraising committee and Yahya Colley rep. of NACCUG.
