According
to reliable sources, Mr. Willy Joof has been reinstated as Permanent Secretary
at the Department of State for the Interior. He replaces
Yahya Sireh Jallow who moves as P.S. No. 2 at the State Department of Foreign
Affairs.
Mr. Jallow replaces Mr. M.S. Njie who has now retired from the service.
No official reason was given to this paper for the move.
Mr. Joof was Permanent Secretary at Foreign Affairs before his subsequent removal and trial at the Banjul Magistrates’ Court.
