The presiding Magistrate, Edrissa Mbai, stated that even though the accused person pleaded guilty, this is a capital punishment offence in which the accused should be legally represented. He said the court would therefore remand the accused in custody until he had legal representation for his plea to be properly taken. He equally ordered the case to be transferred to the special court at the High Court which is assigned to handle capital and serious offences.
