Moses Nwanze, project coordinator of Future. Ambassadors of Movie and Entertainment in Africa (FAME), has revealed that the movie project will be launched in December 2008 in the Gambia.
In an interview with What’s On, Mr. Nwanze said FAME was established purposely to empower youths, build capacities as well as provide employment for many youths in The Gambia and Nigeria. According to the FAME project coordinator, Nollywood actors and actresses will be mixed with renowned Gambian artists to perform different movies.
He described the FAME initiative as a national project and called on the government, philanthropists, private individuals, companies, etc to sponsor the programme. Mr. Nwanze also encouraged all Gambian actors and actresses to participate in the project. It can be recalled that Mr Nwanze, sometime in February, organised the Miss Galaxy Beauty Pageant in The Gambia.
