Update on Serekunda East Qualifiers

The Serrekunda East nawetaan qualifiers first round has concluded on Saturday at Buffer Zone playground following Sohna FC 1-0 victory over OOC FC in the 5pm encounter.

Both teams were determined and eager for a victory and as a result created wonderful scoring opportunities in front of each others goal, but could not break the deadlock, and the first half ended 0-0.

As action resumed in the second half of the game Sohna FC mounted pressure on OOC FC defence and as a result they opened the score through Modou Kara Gaye in the 64th minute of the game.

On the same day SV Laar FC defeated Tabokoto FC by a goal to nil in the 3pm encounter. Baboucarr Sonko scored the only goal of that game in the 16th minute of the game.

Earlier on the same day in the 9am encounter Churchills Town United also defeated Boca Junior’s by 7-6 on penalty kicks.

Else where on the same day at Charles Jaw Play Ground, Ebbeh Gi defeated Africell by 1-0 in the 9am encounter.

Toubabo FC also defeated Talli Bi FC by a goal to nil on the same day at the Charles Jaw Play Ground in the 3pm encounter.

Sohna FC, SV Laar FC, Churchills Town United, Ebbeh Gi and Toubabo FC are all through to the second round of the Serrekunda East qualifiers following their various victories.
