Hon. Fabakary Tombong Jatta

For 2009, I will rededicate myself to the achievements of the noble goals of President Jammeh with a view of satisfying the needs of the people we represent in the National Assembly.

As a parliamentarian, I will do all means to be able to empower NAMs so that we can effectively perform our oversight and legislative functions for the Gambian people.

Hon. Momodou LK Sanneh
Minority Leader and NAM for Kiang West
For 2009, we expect that government will address the global food crisis in the locally to an extend that it will not affect the country much. Therefore, agriculture should be a priority and should be look into well.

Again, electricity in this country is also high and is a great concern which government is expected to address. It is making the economy suffer because some investors want to come in but due to the high electricity cost, they prefer staying away.

Equally is the fuel cost. It has been reduce world wide and Gambia should not be an exception. Government should do all it can to make sure that it is reduce. We should also look into youth employment as they are the future leaders.

Finally, I will urge government to come up with good policies in 2009 and implement them, without which, it will have a negative impact on the Gambian people.

Hon. Sainey Mbye
