Two Remanded for Theft

Amadou Wurry Jallow and Abdoulie Njie were recently arraigned before the Brikama Magistrates’ Court presided over by Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh charged with stealing from a person.

According to the particulars of the offence, on or about the 19th May 2009, at Sinchu Alagie village Kombo North, the said accused Amadou Wurry Jallow and Abdoulie Njie stole from one Abidou Ceesay cash amounting to D44. 00 and a cap valued at D150.00 (one hundred and fifty dalasis) being the property of the said Abibou Ceesay.

When the charge sheet was read to them in the language they claim to understand both pleaded not guilty.

Meanwhile the accused persons were remanded in custody before the case was adjourned to 11th June 2009.
