Thieves appear before High Court master

One Samba Njie was yesterday arraigned before the honourable master of the High Court , Aminata Saho Ceesay, who presided over the Bundung Magistrates Court on behalf of Acting Principal Magistrate Kumba Sillah Camara.

According to the particulars of the offence, Samba Njie, on 21 November 2008 at Wellingara, stole a pair of trousers and a T-shirt from the dwelling house of one Samba Jallow.

The accused pleaded guilty to the charge. He was granted bail in the sum of D1000 or a Gambian surety with the like sum. The case was  adjourned to 2 December 2008.

Sergeant 553 Jammeh represented the IGP. In a similar development, one Sidi Sabally was arraigned before the court for breaking into the store of one Omar Bah and stealing 4 packets of floor tiles valued at D1400; 3 pieces of cardboard at D900, one tile cutting machine at D2500.  He also pleaded guilty.
