State House gets new Press Officer

Karamo Sambou, a product of the University of The Gambia, has   been appointed as the new Press Officer at State House.

His appointment came following a vacancy of the position for months. Contacted on the new development, Mr Sambou confirmed that he had been appointed to the said position, noting that he received his appointment letter on the 28th December 2008.

Mr Sambou, a resident of Brufut Village, Western Region, started his earlier education in the same village, and he   graduated in 1994 with A’Level at St Augustine’s High School, before pursuing his Higher Teacher’s Certificate course at The Gambia College. Shortly after completing his HTC, Mr Sambou taught at St. Peter’s and Sukuta Junior Secondary Schools before being admitted at the University of The Gambia where he majored English and French.

Prior to his new appointment, Mr Sambou taught English and Literature at The Gambia Senior Secondary School.
