Sports Journalists Training Ends

10 sports journalists were last Thursday 8 January 2009 awarded with certificates after attending four-days training course on sports reporting and the course was organised by Media agenda and sponsored NATCOM.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the development and cultural officer, Maimuna Sidibeh thanked participants for their commitment, dedication and hard work during training.

She said that NATCOM would continue to sponsor more and more series of training for Gambians journalists in order to come prominent journalist in future.

She also thanked Media agenda and Gambia press Union for improving the lives of journalists in the Gambia.

Madi Ceesay, director Media agenda express appreciation to NATCOM for funding the training course which he would contribute immensely toward the development of Gambian journalists.

For his part, the president of sports journalists association of the Gambia, Namory Trawl said the training course will go a long way in improving and developing the skills of young sports reporters in the country.

Fatou Camara, a participant, delivered the votes of thanks. She commended Media agenda for organising the training and assured them that the knowledge gain from the training will properly put into good use.
