Softball Coaching Clinic Underway

A four-day Softball Coaching Clinic yesterday kicked-off at the Marina International School.

The clinic organised by the Gambia National Softball Association will be facilitated by two Japanese: Ms. Joh Chika and Ms. Chinen Reiko who arrived earlier in the country to conduct the Coaching Clinic.

The four-day clinic which will focus on practical work is expected to wrap up on Thursday 23rd July, 2009.

The Softball Association was introduced and headed by Beatrice Allen, 1st Vice-President of the Gambia National Olympic Committee and member of the International Olympic Committee. 

The association, one of the International Softball Federation’s newer members, recently successfully hosted a two-day ISF’s forum in Banjul on the future of softball in Africa.
