Ebrima Janko Fatty nicknamed [KAKA] is a young and talented player full of skills and wonderful goal-scoring abilities that earn him this popular name [KAKA].

Born and bred in Old Jeshwang, the young prodigy started playing football in the streets of his native village Old Jeshwang when he was a small boy.

He started competitive football in Old Jeshwang with Dragon together with the present Gambia U-17 goalkeeper Musa Camara when his impressive performance helped Dragon win a Nawettan trophy in his first year at the club.

KAKA attracted the attention of many Nawettan teams in the area despite the fact that he was not mature enough to fight for bigger challenges but he proved himself beyond reasonable doubt due to the pace and the skills he has, and which makes him one of the greatest prospects in Gambian football.

Kaka also played for another outstanding Nawettan team called Five Star during his stay in Old Jeshwang before moving to Bakau with his mum Sutering Touray few years ago after helping them clinch their second successive Nawettan trophy in two years and went on to be crowned as the most outstanding player of the tournament.

Shortly after two magnificent seasons with Dragon and Five Star in Old Jeshwang, the Samger star attracted interest from a lot of Nawettan teams in Bakau but instead decided to join Seaview FC where he established himself as an inspirational figure even though he failed to win any silverware for the hotel side.

The skillful footballer made a surprise move to another Nawettan team, Junior Arms, after a short spell with Seaview where he is currently enjoying a wonderful moment with the Fajara Barracks Boys.

Unlike many of his colleagues, Kaka paid serious attention to education. One of the schools he attended includes Sept High School where his contribution towards sports development while he was in the school awarded him free education.

Kaka is one of many youngsters that started academy football with one of the most popular football academy in the country Samger and further went ahead to prove himself which earned him a place in Samger’s senior team.

He played an important part in Samger’s failed attempt to clinch its first ever GFA division one [1] league championship last season although he has found his first team action hindered by injuries.

Kaka also played his part in Samger’s 2-1 victory over Wallidan in the super cup final played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini-Stadium.

Bakary Darboe one of the coaches for the young prodigy, described kaka as a very respectful player who always endeavours to give his best for Junior Arms with determination, discipline and confidence noting that he needs the support of everybody to realize his dreams of playing in a professional league in Europe.

Bax as he is fondly called, further hailed Kaka for being the main source of inspiration for Junior Arms regarding him as one of the best youngsters the country has, due to his technical abilities.

He is a player with a point to prove, and above all it is amazing to watch him play because he is no doubt a phenomenal player who needs only assistance to play at the professional level, Bakary Darboe concluded. It could be recalled that Ebrima Janko Fatty was part of the Bakau side that clinched its 5th Zonal championship trophy following a narrow 1-nil victory over Serrekunda East recently.
