Plymouth Challenge helps projects

The Plymouth Banjul Challenge, a charitable organisation working together with the Association of Small Scale Enterprises in Tourism (ASSET).

The Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC) to fund development and community based projects, on Monday approved 9 projects costing over D547,682 in a ceremony held at the Safari Garden Hotel in Fajara.  

In his welcoming remarks, George Gomez said that over 15-25 projects throughout the country have benefited from the Challenge. He implored the beneficiaries to make good use of the funds.  

Geri Mitchell - from the PBC - said the auction has raised approximately D24,000,000. The beneficiaries include Siffo Bee Association, Save Humanity Foundation in Barra and Plant Stop Sahara in Bijilo.
