A middle-aged man, Mr Palma Omoregba, commonly known as Mr Omo, is said to have died in his house since Sunday 16thNovember only for the body to be discovered on Wednesday 19thNovember. This, an eyewitness said, happened after he complained of being sick for the past six months.

“On the following day (Monday), I went back to visit him but found that his door was locked; I then knocked on the door for several times, but there was no response. Then I decided to call his mobile phone, which also rang several times without response,” he narrated.

According to him, he then asked some of the tenants in compound but they said they didn’t know anything about his whereabouts.

“On returning to the house the following day (Wednesday), I found the tenants in the compound complaining of a bad odour coming out of the house. We then called the Fire and Ambulance Service officers who broke into the house only to found him dead inside,” he added.

When contacted yesterday, Inspector Sulayman Secka, spokesperson of the police, confirmed the story.

Meanwhile, the body of the late Mr Palmer is currently at the mortuary of the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital for post-mortem.
