Medina FC Register First Victory

Medina FC has registered their first victory following their 2-0 victory over Macassa FC in the ongoing Serrekunda East Newtaan proper, last Saturday 15th August 2009, at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Medina FC who lost their first two games of the ongoing Serrekunda East Nawetaan proper were determined and hungry for a victory this time around, to make sure they proceed to the next stage of the Nawetaan proper.

Medina FC opens the score through striker, Modou Lamin Ceesay in the 16th minute of the game. Macassa FC fought back and also created wonderful scoring opportunities, but they were denied by Medina FC defence line, and thus the first half ended 1-0 in favour of Medina FC.

As action resumed in the second period of the game, both teams fought hard and created various scoring opportunities in front of each others’ goal mouth, but Medina FC who were spectacular and hungry for a victory doubled the score line through Lamin Saho in the 71st minute from Ebrima Bah’s cross from the left side of the field and the game ended 2-0 in favour of Medina FC.

Medina FC now have 3 points from 3games, while Macassa FC have 6 points from 3games.

On the same day, Culture FC drew 0-0 with TK Snooker’s in the 9a.m encounter at Serrekunda East Mini Stadium. Cultures FC now have 5points from 3games, while TK Snooker’s only have 1point from 2games.
