The criminal appeal case filed by the jailed British national David Fulton at the Banjul High Court before Justice Wowo had reaches it climax.
Lamin Camara, counsel for the appellant, David Fulton, yesterday told the court if the court could accommodate him, he want to file a written brief. He said he is agreed to wave the vacation period to file his written brief.
The State Counsel N.B. Jones also agreed to wave the vacation period to file the State written brief.
The presiding judge, Justice Joseph Wowo later ordered the appellant to file his written brief within 14 days and the state respondent should also file their written brief within 14 days from the date of receipt of the appellant brief.
The appellant David Fulton is appealing against the decision of the Banjul Magistrates’ Court that sentenced him to three years in prison for the offence of forgery.
