Immigration Department Receives Another Boost

The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) on Monday received a series of donations from individuals at its headquarters in Banjul.

The donated items include a computer, monitor, scanner, plus stationery and three typewriters. The items were donated by Jacqueline Revers of Holland, Lamin Keita and Sankung Jaiteh of Tujereng village in Kombo South, Western Region.

The donation was facilitated by Inspector Ba Essa Jawara of the Gambia Immigration Department.

Speaking at the occasion the Deputy Director-General of Gambia Immigration Department, Buba Sagnia, said the donated items would surely help the Immigration Department in the execution of its official functions.

Mr Sagnia thanked the donors for their “wonderful gesture” and assured them that the donation would be put into good use.

He called on others to emulate the philanthropic gesture of the donors.
