The eleven counts indictment trial involving Habbib Drammeh, the former Director-General of the Gambia Tourism Authority (GTA) resumed yesterday before Justice Joseph Wowo of the Banjul High Court.
However, the case that was scheduled for hearing could not proceed.
According to the principal state counsel S H Barkun, he had a witness in court but after interviewing the witness he discovered that his testimony would defer with other witnesses. He added that what the witness was going to say would be hinged on the testimony of the other witnesses.
The defence counsel Siney Rilly told the court that the defence are not opposing to the application since the state conduct their case.
Mr Habib Drammeh, the former Director-General of Gambia Tourism Authority, is standing trial at the Banjul High Court on an 11-count indictment relating to giving false information and economic crimes. He has since denied the charges.
