Mr. Momodou Clake Bajo, Former Governor of Central Bank of The Gambia, has passed away.
He died at the Ndebaan Medical Centre on Monday 2nd February 2009 following a brief illness. He was said to be in his late 60’s
The former governor was laid to rest in Sukuta village, Kombo North, Western Region, yesterday afternoon.
Mr. Bajo is survived by a wife and some children and has been described by many as a humble, humanitarian philanthropist, a man who had dedicated his life to serving his country.
“We will miss him so much,” said a family member in Gunjur village, where Mr. Bajo was said to have hailed from.
