FAO boss congratulates President Jammeh

Jacques Diouf, the director general of the Food and Agriculture   Organisation of the United Nations, has joined the list of world leaders and diplomats in congratulating the Gambian leader, Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh on the New Year.

In a letter addressed to Professor Jammeh, Mr Diouf said: "with the fervent wish that the new year will bring humanity more cause for hope and greater solidarity, may I extend my sincere wishes for the happiness and prosperity of Your Excellency and the people of your country.

May the New Year strengthen the existing links between your country and the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations.  Highest consideration."
