Fabakary Tombong, Turo Darboe adopted fathers in Badibu

The people of Alkali Kunda in Upper Baddibu have adopted Honourable Fabakary Tombong Jatta, the Majority leader and NAM for Serrekunda West as father at a political rally held at the village last Saturday.

The people of Marong Kunda in Central Badibu also adopted Momodou Turo Darboe as father and Awa Ndimbalan as mother at Kerr Ardo in Lower Badibu District at a mass political rally held in Kerr Ardo village, North Bank Region last weekend. Speaking at the both rallies, Alhagie Edward Seckan, the governor of North Bank Region, hailed the communities of Alkali Kunda and Marong Kunda. He said the adoption of these people is a clear testimony of the love, support and loyalty the communities have for the APRC party.

Governor Seckan called on the people to always uphold  the principles of the party, promote and nurture the open-door policy in place by accommodating new party militants. Speaking at the Kerr Ardo rally, Yankuba Touray, the secretary of state for Fisheries, Natural Resources and National Assembly Matters  who doubles as the APRC national mobilizer, underscored the importance the party attaches to the transformation of these communities. He thanked the community for their contribution and loyalty to the APRC party as manifested in the last elections.

SoS Touray assured them of the party’s full support towards the attainment of their development initiatives. He also used the occasion to renew President Jammeh’s back-to-land call for The Gambia to attain food self-sufficiency.  Honourable Abdoulie Suku Singhateh, the APRC desk officer for North Bank Region, thanked the communities of Alkali Kunda and Marong Kunda as well as Kerr Ardo, for their support to the leadership of the APRC party. He noted that the APRC will always support them in their development aspirations.

Honourable Fabakary Tombong Jatta, Momodou Turo Darboe and Awa Ndimbalan all hailed the efforts of the communities for their outstanding contribution to the APRC in the last elections and urged them to promote unity among party supporters so as attain the party’s development aspirations. They thanked the communities for the warm welcome accorded them and their various delegations. Deputy Governor Momodou Marr of North Bank Region chaired the rallies.
