Brufut Female Tourney Final Saturday

The final of the first-ever Brufut Female Football Tournament, organised by Gilkock Football Academy is slated for Saturday 15th August 2009, at Brufut Lower Basic School Playing Grounds at 430pm.

The long-awaited final will feature Sanchaba United FC and Nyafeleng FC, and the final match is expected to be graced by local dignitaries and football fans across Brufut and its environs.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Pointsport yesterday, Ebrima Bojang, a member of the organising committee of the tourney, said the tourney is organised to scout female players in Brufut. He said the aim and objective of the tourney is to have a team in GFA female league in future.

He stated that Gilkock Football Academy will continue to promote and develop female football in Brufut and will do all efforts to make sure that Brufut have a team in the GFA female league.

He further stated that the tourney would be trouble-free from all forms of violences.

He urged both finalists and their fans to maintain discipline during the final game, and promised that the final match will be free and fair.
