British Couple Donate D40, 000 to Kafuta School

A British couple, Peter Forn and his wife Margaret recently presented D40, 000.00 to the KefutaPrimary School in Foni in the Western Region. Peter and Margaret Forn expressed happiness at the warm welcome accorded them by pupils and villagers. The couple revealed that the donation is for the school. They added that the money should be principally used to enhance the development of the school especially in the area of sanitation. They promised to do more to help the community of Kafuta village.

Receiving the donated money in the school, the Head Master, Mr. Buba Sidi, commended the couple for helping the school and the community. He promised the couple that the money will be put to good use. He further disclosed that the donated money will enhance the implementation of a sanitation policy aimed at providing quality and affordable services to all children. He described the gesture as timely with regard to the school’s current plight in the area of water and sanitation, noting that the gesture is a true humanitarian one worthy of emulation by all.

For his part, Mr. Banding T.J. Jatta, the school monitor in Kombo Central, applauded the efforts of the British couple and said the money donated to the school came at a time when the school was badly in need of it. He added that they needed the school to be helped and if anybody wants to give a helping hand to them, they are highly welcome.
