Reports reaching the Daily Observer have revealed that a British couple, Mr David Borland Fulton and Mrs Fiona Rachel Fulton have been charged with seditious publications contrary to Section 51(c) of the Criminal Code,
Laws of The Gambia, following their arrest and subsequent detention on November 29, for allegedly publishing negative articles and sending negative letters to individuals and organisations about The Gambia and the government.
According to our sources, the British couple are expected to appear at the Banjul Magistrates Court in the near future to answer to the charges levelled against them.When contacted, the public relations officer of the Gambia Police Force, ASP Sulayman Secka, confirmed the story.
