The Armitage Ex-students’ Association, on Saturday, oraganised a general meeting at the St Therese's Lower Basic School in Kanifing.
The meeting also witnessed the selection of Jewru Suso as the assistant secretary of the association. He relpaced Ousainou Dampha, the former assistant secretary, who was said to have travelled out of the country. Speaking at the meeting ground, Karamba Jawla, president of the association, welcomed Jewru Suso the association’s executive structure. He advised the newly selected assistant secretary to be committed to his duties and also be ready to sacrifice for the interest of the association.
The Armitage ex-students’ leader also reiterated his association’s commitment towards the development of their alma mater, Armitage Senior Secondary School. Jawla further called on all ex-students and interested individuals to join the association. For his part, Assan Sallah, public relations officer(PRO) of the ex-students’ association, advised the members to pay their contributions on time and attend meetings regularly. He informed the gathering that the next meeting’s date is scheduled for March 7th, 2009 at the St Therese's Lower Basic School.
PRO Sallah finally called on the ex-students to be committed to the association and help Armitage Senior Secondary School. The meeting was attended by the executive and other members of the association.
