Having recognized the critical role played by the Immigration Department more individuals and institutions continue to offer assistance to the department.

The latest such assistance came from one Kebba Bajaha a Gambian resident based in Barcelona, Spain. Last Friday he donated a laminating machine to The Gambia Immigration department.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony held in Banjul, the director general of the Immigration Department, Sako Drammeh, described Kebba as a patriotic citizen. He said that the donated item will greatly enhance the work of his department.

He called on other Gambians staying abroad to help the security services of the country.

He also appealed to the businessmen in the country to emulate Mr. Bajaha’s gesture

For his part Mr. Bajaha revealed that his relationship with the Immigration Department comes through a friend Inspector Sulayman Colley.

He pointed out that he will do every thing possible to help the Immigration Department.

The brief presentation ceremony was chaired by the deputy director general of immigration Mr. Buba Sagnia.
