Alleged School Rape Suspect Charged

Momodou Musa Sidibeh who was alleged of raping a 6-year-old girl at BakotehAnnexLowerBasicSchool in Bakoteh was on 14th January 2009 arraigned before Principal Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court charged with rape.

According to the particulars of the offence, on 10th October 2008 at BakotehLowerBasicSchool in Bakoteh the accused allegedly had carnal knowledge with a 6-year-old girl without her consent. He denied the charge.

Meanwhile the presiding Magistrate said the court would write to the master of the High Court to provide the accused with legal representation since he cannot afford to pay a lawyer of his choice.

The case was adjourned to 21st January 2009 for further hearing.
