The Gambia Under 20 team, under the guidance of Lamin Sarr who stepped in for Italian coach Lorenzo Rubbinacci who resigned for family reasons, will take on their Ghanaian counterparts on Sunday, September 28, for the first-leg tie with the return leg coming fortnight later in Banjul.
Lamin Sarr invited six foreign-based players to bolster up his squad but only two of them responded to the call-up for the Accra fixture.
Pa Modou Jagne of FC Wil (Switzerland), who is expected to lead the Baby Scorpions and Sainey Sidibeh of Vfl 93 (Germany) are the two overseas players who breezed into the country to join the local based players for the weekend’s game.
