I and my family in Minnesota, USA, wish to extend our heartfelt wishes for the Holy Month of Ramadan to H. E. the President, Alhaji Dr. Yaya A.J.J. Jammeh, his family and the entire Gambian people. We pray that Allah the Almighty will shower lots of blessings on you and your entire family. Ramadan Mubarak.
In the same vein, I personally wish to extend my best wishes and greetings to you and members of your government on your fourteenth anniversary of the July 22 Revolution. Mr President, you have not only revolutionized The Gambia, but you have transformed it so much so that one cannot believe one’s eyes concerning what one sees now, compared to what The Gambia was 14 years ago.
You gave Gambians a modern airport; High Schools - I do not even know how much; the University of The Gambia; 5 or more modern hospitals – with very affordable health care that rich nations give to their citizens; countless modern roads; not to mention the television station we never had since independence, for about 30 years of Nationhood.
I hope all progressive Gambians will join you in nation building. For those in the Diaspora, please stop painting bad pictures of our country. Who are you trying to please? Love your country, please, and wish your country good things.
Mr President, no one can say how much development you brought and continue to bring to The Gambia, but this is because of your love for the country. May Allah give you long life and protect you from evil to allow you to continue your development efforts. God bless you and your family, and all Gambians. Thank you.
