The first ever stakeholders football tournament initiated by The Gambia Football Coaches Association will kick-off on Thursday at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The tournament will feature eight teams divided in to two groups of four who are mainly people behind the successful running of football in the country.
The Sports Journalists, Football Coaches, Administrators, Medical, Football Fans Club, Security, Referees and Veterans will take the centre stage of the championship.
The Sport Journalists are pitted in group A along side Football Coaches, Administrators and Medical.
Group B is made up of Football Fans Club, Security, Referees and Veterans.
In the draw of the first edition of the tournament, the pen pushers, Sport Journalists will play Medical at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The Sport Journalists side is composed of all sport writers in the country will be coached by Journalist/ Coach Fatou Mbye.
A giant trophy and a bull await the winner of the tournament and the runners-up will walk away with two sheep.
Meanwhile in the upcoming matches, the football Fans Club will meet Security on Friday, while Administrators will lock horns with Football Coaches on Saturday.
